TAYLOR WHITE '14

Taylor quickly distinguished herself as one of the nation’s elite players. As a senior, she delivered a .710 batting average, scoring 34 runs with 17 RBIs, 14 doubles, and nine home runs. She earned First Team All-California honors from Cal Hi-Sports, was named to the All-State Team, and received All-American recognition. She stole 37 bases in 38 attempts and recorded at least one hit in 23 of 25 games.

Throughout her high school career, Taylor was a four-time team Most Valuable Player, a four-time First Team All-Mission Valley selection, and the 2012 Mission League MVP. Competing nationally, she helped lead the Corona Angels to a Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship in 2014, along with additional national tournament titles and top finishes.

Taylor continued her standout career at The Ohio State University, where she was a four-year starter and helped the Buckeyes reach the NCAA Tournament three times. She appeared in more than 200 career games and earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in both 2016 and 2017.

Her collegiate accolades also include being named Big Ten Freshman of the Week and being recognized as a Senior Class Award candidate in 2018, honoring her achievements on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.

Following her playing career, Taylor transitioned into coaching, serving from 2019 to 2022 as the softball coach at Howard University. She led the program to MEAC Championships and earned Tournament Outstanding Coach honors in 2022. From elite competitor to championship-winning coach, Taylor White’s legacy reflects leadership, resilience, and dedication to excellence.
